Come and look round the building, meet the hackspace and museum volunteers, and find out what is planned.

Step-free access: the event hall is on the ground floor.

  • Drop in, no booking needed
  • Quiet room available

The stage is reached by steps. Tell us in advance if a performer or speaker needs a step-free alternative.

Drop in at any time between 10am and 4pm. Volunteers from East Essex Hackspace will be demonstrating tools in the hall, and the museum working group will have a display of photographs of the building and the railway.

Tea, coffee and cake will be available. TODO: confirm catering.

Please note that the museum and community space on the first floor can only be reached by stairs while the lift is out of service. All of the open day activities are in the ground-floor hall.
